On September 14th, ViVo welcomed Caitlin Meehan from Atlanta, GA to provide a private extension skills course for stylists Lexi and Rachel, and master stylist Lindsay. In the course, Caitlin instructed the girls on how to combine full extension coverage and individual extension methods to create a seamless look.
Generally, the hair around the face is sparser due to genetics, heat damage, postpartum hair loss, etc. That area of the head needs specific attention in order for it to look fuller without the extensions being detected. That is where Bellami itips and ktips come into play.
The back of the head can normally support more hair, meaning this is where tape-ins or a volume weft can be applied. For their model, they chose to use a full coverage volume weft with itips around the hairline to fill in the sparse areas. This created a seamless look that was completely customized to their model’s needs.
Extensions are not a one size fits all. Many guests have one or more problem areas that need special attention. Bellami offers four different application methods to tailor to each individual client.
We are so grateful to have hosted Caitlin in the salon to assist our stylists in their extension education. Our stylists are better equipped to “diagnose” those problem areas and suggest what is going to work best for each client considering extensions.
If you have any questions regarding Bellami hair extensions or are wanting to know what might work best for you, please reach out to us to schedule and receive a complimentary consultation!
